School Council

Our school council are always very busy representing the views of the children in school and helping to arrange events to raise money for worthwhile causes.

Remembrance Day 2025

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

School Council laid our wreath of remembrance at the war memorial this morning. Reggie lead our tribute by reading this verse of the poem For the Fallen.

Children in Need 2025

Last week we challenged School Council to raise more money for Children In Need than we did last year. Last year we raised £277.

I am thrilled to announce that their hard work and dedication has meant that this year we have raised… £1032.33!!!!!!!!!!

We are so proud of them, this money will make a huge difference to so many children in the UK.

So if you came and played a game or brought in a pound to wear non uniform on Friday we thank you from the bottom of our hearts Your donations have been so generous and your support means everything to us xxx

MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

Our school council did an amazing job organising the MacMillan Coffee afternoon, we raised an amazing £536!

Today we celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. The whole school looks incredible in their red, white and blue clothes. School council made doves of peace and wrote messages to the soldiers in Long Bennington who didn’t come home. They shared their messages at the War Memorial, it was beautiful. Well done school council

We supported Long Bennington Rotary Club with their End Polio Now campaign.
