Dear Parents/ Carers
Having welcomed so many of our school community back today, we are all so upset to learn tonight that we now have to close our school again. This news has taken us by surprise as we were told only yesterday to open our doors and it was safe to do so. Having had children in different bubbles in school today, we are awaiting guidance as to what the key worker provision will need to be moving forwards in order not to mix bubbles and cause potential problems further down the line.
Therefore, in light of tonights government announcement, with the agreement of the trustees, the school will be closed tomorrow.
We will be using the time to plan our vulnerable/critical worker offer and organise our home learning provision ready for Wednesday. We will send out a critical worker form in the morning and will identify our vulnerable groups and notify parents/carers of the school provision available to them.
We are extremely sorry for any disruption this has caused and will work very hard to ensure all children are catered for appropriately over the next few weeks.
If any parents/carers who are critical workers are really struggling for childcare tomorrow we will provide a childcare facility for those children. Can you please contact us on the following email address if this is required: enquiries@longbenningtonacademy.co.uk
Many thanks for your continued support
David Nicholson
