Survey by the National Literacy Trust

Most children don’t write letters

'A survey by the National Literacy Trust has found that two thirds of primary school children and more than three quarters at secondary school never write letters. Those who did pen letters on a regular basis were more likely to have writing skills above the level expected for their age group. '
