Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Good morning everyone,
How strange it is to be in school without all of your smiling faces to brighten our day. I hope that you are all making the most of the opportunity to spend precious time with your families and more importantly staying safe.
We know that websites like Purple Mash are experiencing high demand and are struggling to cope with everyone logging on at once. Don't panic though, this will calm down and they are working to upgrade servers etc. However, you don't need to have a rigidly timetabled day and you can use the time to read, play a game, go out in the garden, write a story, cook something . . . there's still lot's to do!
We have added some more links/resources to the new Home Learning section of the website, which is in the news & letters tab.
We can't wait to have you back at school and hear all about what you have been doing.
Stay safe everyone
Mr Nicholson
Home Learning Support
Following the recent announcement about school closures, we want to take this opportunity to signpost a range of ‘Home-Learning’ resources which are available and accessible for your child/ren to use whilst at home.
We appreciate that keeping children engaged in their learning, can seem daunting. After some consideration, we have compiled a series of resources and activities which can be completed both independently and/or with adult support.

We are sure many more resources will become available online and we will endeavor to keep updating the information for parents.
While self-isolating or the school is closed, we would encourage our parents to provide their child/ren with active feedback as the children complete the various activities, thus responding to their learning at home and providing support and encouragement where needed.
The children observed 2 Minutes silence in our remembrance worship this morning. The school council then took the wreath the the war memorial in the village!
On Wednesday our year 5 & 6 cricket team were at the Grantham Schools cricket tournament, they played amazingly well all day and were crowned champions. This saw them invited to represent the district in the Lincolnshire finals the next day! Thanks to some last minute organisation and some very kind parents we were able to send the boys to Hartsholme Cricket Club to play again.
What an amazing night we had on Thursday! We were treated to our very own Long Bennington Rock Concert in the school hall. Our drummers and rock band filled the hall with their incredible music and the crowd certainly had a great time. We are all very proud of all of the musicians they are a very talented bunch of children.
Dear Parents,
Today, we have a team of inspectors in school from both HMI (Her Majesties Inspectorate) and Ofsted who are conducting a Section 5 inspection of our school.
Inspectors will be rigorously examining all aspects of school life as they are checking that as a school we provide the best quality education we can for your children.
They may wish to speak to you if you are collecting or dropping off, however if you wish you can share your views on the school at Ofsted's portal Parentview by following this link: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/
