  • Year 6 Residential Visit Weekend -

Mon 29 Jun 2015 Mrs Eveleigh

We have just returned from our annual Year  6 Residential Visit Weekend. We left on Friday, June 26th and returned home at 5:30 pm on Sunday June 28th.

Mrs Eveleigh, Mr Wells,Mr Heathcote, Mrs Kelly and Mr Korcz  took 40 children to The Manor Adventure in Shropshire. We had a fantastic weekend with lots of fun, excitement, friendship and personal challenge. Well done children - you were wonderful to be with. When you first came to this school 7 years ago I was looking forward to the time when I could take you away for a weekend and trust you to behave beautifully, look after yourselves and each other and become independent young people ready for secondary school. You proved that you are all of those things -  I am proud of you all.

Browse through the photos below as a sample of what the children did throughout the weekend.

  • Summer Fair Fun!

Mon 22 Jun 2015 Mrs Eveleigh

What a lovely way to spend a Friday evening. Thank you so much to everyone who helped, organised and joined us on Friday for our annual Summer Fair. The weather was kind to us and every where you looked were smiley faces and people have fun. I need to say a huge THANK YOU to our lovely FSA people who have been quietly organising behind the scenes for months to make sure everything was just right. They have been in school this morning counting the money raised and have a fantastic total of £2,000! This money will be used to buy extra special resources for your children next year. Very well done everyone and a special thank you to Mrs Roberts who is the Chair of the Friends Association and who has had several sleepless nights before last Friday!

Mr Korcz has asked me to announce the 'Stars in a Car' results as follows:

Fastest Lap Time:             Ed Donaldson - 29.25 seconds (4 penalty points)

Fastest Clear Lap Time:    Tilly Shaw - 34.62 seconds (no penalty points)

Most Consistent Driver:    James Sadler - 3 lap times under 39 seconds (only 1 penalty point over 3 laps)

We won the large schools trophy and the silver medal for the whole tournament. Fantastic as always and very proud of our children who were an absolute pleasure to be with. Well done to Mrs White who managed and coached them to their success - she was very excited!
  • Eggs on Tuesday. Chicks hatched on Wednesday!

Wed 03 Jun 2015 Mrs Eveleigh

We are very excited about our live eggs hatching in to chicks.

They were all eggs on Tuesday, started hatching on Wednesday and all hatched apart from 2 eggs by Thursday.

By the following Tuesday they were being weighed, measured and cuddled - all really important aspects of Science!
