We are delighted to announce that Mr Watson has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year in the Grantham Journal’s Business awards 2018!!!!!!!!!

We nominated him back in the summer term and were over the moon to find out that he has made it into the top 3!!!!

The Journal received a  total of 219 nominations, with some categories having as many as 30 entries.

This is a huge achievement and we are all very proud of him.

The awards take place in November when we will find out who the winner is.

Welcome back to a brand new academic year. We are all very excited to anticipate all of the new challenges ahead of us this year.

We have a significant change in staff structure this year that all parents need to be aware of.

Mrs Christine MacDonald has been the Deputy Head here at Long Bennington for a considerable number of years however, she has chosen to step down from this role from the beginning of this academic year. We are incredibly grateful to her for all of the hard work and commitment she has shown to this school over the years and we are really glad that we have been able to keep her on staff and still in her role as SENDCo.

We have appointed two Assistant Headteachers who will be responsible for supporting the continuous drive for improvement in school - Miss Baliol-Key and Mr Haigh. They will each take on key strategic responsibilities within the management structure of the school and will be responsible for acting as designated Headteacher in my absence.

I am confident that both will have the support of all our community, parents, staff and pupils alike.
