Good Morning Class 8,
I hope you all had fun over the holidays and that you are all prepared for the new school term.
My daughter came home from Norway just in time for Christmas so it was a very happy time for us. She has been living there for 6 months as part of her University course studying Geography. She has travelled and seen so much during her time there.
I went out to visit her and the mountains and fjords were so beautiful.
The first picture is me on the boat going up the fjord, the mountains at the side were so big and they dropped straight into the water.
The waterfalls were amazing, they were everywhere you looked. This is one on the mountain side, we were on the train to Flam when the train stopped so we could get off to take pictures of this, the noise was so loud we had to shout at each other.
This is taken in the street near the flat we stayed in, it is the old part of town and all the houses are built from wood and painted in different colours.
This is the fish market, i have never seen so much fresh fish in one place, and it didn't smell because it was all so fresh.
I hope to be able to come and see you in the class soon, have a great time this term.
Good Afternoon Mrs Starr,
Thank-you for your message, we read it this morning and really enjoyed looking at your craft work. We were very impressed!
We are really pleased that you are the Governor for Class 8 and look forward to you popping in whenever you have some free time. It has been a busy term and we have enjoyed our topic Turrets and Tiaras. We have been looking at the Battle of Hastings and the Norman conquest. We spent an afternoon making trebuchets and then had a competition to see which trebuchet fired the furthest. Finn and Abigail and Kaitlin and Evie were the winners. In science we have been taking on secret missions to make parachutes and spinners to help explore our understanding of air resistance. We have just one week left of this term before the Christmas holidays and have lots to look forward to.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Good Morning Class 8,
I have had a busy Christmas crafting weekend. We are preparing for our Nativity Festival on Saturday and Sunday so we have been practising our skills in making things.
I have also had Mary & Joseph on their Los Pasada this weekend. They joined Dave, Pepper, Monty and the rest of the family for a family get together. they had great fun and i will post some pictures of the rest of the family when i get time to upload them form my phone.
This week I will be in school on Wednesday for assembly to continue our theme of the Advent ring. I know that Mary and Joseph are visiting school this week so i hope to catch up on their adventures when i come and see you all.
I am very busy doing maths for people so they can pay their taxes, a little like Mary and Joseph had to go and pay their tax. I hope you are all working hard on your math, maybe some f you could help me out if my brain gets too tired. You all know how bad Baggy is at helping to do anything!!
Have a great week this week, I will try and call in before we break up for Christmas.
