Hi class 10
It was good to see you all last Thursday on Book Day. I hope you enjoyed all the reading activities in the afternoon.
You have asked me some very interesting questions! I hope I will be able to answer them all.
You asked what a Governor does - well our job as a Governor is to:
-make sure there a clear picture of how the school should be run, what its principles are and that there is a clear plan on how to move the school forward;
-holding Mrs King to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;
-to overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
I can't say that there is only one thing about our school that make it special. To me it's all the children and staff that are the best things! I hope you will let me off with that.
Your next question was if I enjoyed reading. No I don't I LOVE it!! I read lots but can't say which kinds of books I like best because I like lots of different genre. Perhaps I should be asking you which genre you like best.
Now, I'm always being teased by the Governors and teachers about the number of holidays my husband and I go on. The place we've just visited always is my favourite. This year I'm looking forward to going to Italy in the summer, maybe I'll see the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Next year we're planning a trip to a country I've always wanted to visit and that's Australia. I can't wait.
Hope I've answered all your questions.
See you all soon.
