-You can help your children by reading with them as regularly as possible. Please make sure you sign and date the reading record so that we know where they are up to and we welcome your comments.

Fact or Fiction
What a term it has been! We have been so busy learning all about the Victorians and how they lived in comparison to present day. We have also been very busy in both science and design and technology testing materials for our kites. We have done experiments to test if the materials were water proof and then picked the best one. We then started to design our very own kites, we had to pick which shape we wanted to make and then add decorations that met the design brief.
We have since been practicing our sewing skills, first we practiced on a small strip of material with a plastic needle but Miss Bowden and Mrs Moules we so shocked at how fantastic we were at it that they let us use REAL needles on our kites after we had cut them out of felt. They look amazing! We cant wait to go and fly them. In PE we have been on an adventure through the jungle and learning lots of different movements and shapes. We love doing REAL GYM!
Have a lovely half term and I can't wait to see you after a nice long rest ready to start our new topic of Traditional Tales... We will be starting our new term with dragons, fairies and Hansel and Gretel.
